A Good Idea For A Poster About Fire Preventions

Zuckermann French - a new style of blog

Ten or twelve years ago I bought a French harpsichord kit, Zuckermann. In fact, the parts were produced by The Paris Workshop at the time associated with European Zuckermann and then separately. The French studio, I also went to visit in 1998, produces excellent harpsichords and uses top quality materials, such as the European spruce soundboard instead of Sitka spruce as does Zuckermann. The patron of The Paris Workshop Marc Ducornet , which also produces excellent harpsichords not in kit. Assembled

case, the instrument was left to languish in the cellar, flooded twice in the last ten years. Now I dug for the finish: I have already reinforced the joints with nails or wooden dowels, and began making wooden jacks (at the time, at the suggestion of Ferdinand Granziera, Italian agent by Zuckerman, I chose the option in jacks plastic just for them then I do wood), rebuilt some parts damaged.
Despite exposure to two floods, the case has remained almost intact, has obvious signs of moisture on the long side, but only superficial, going away with two shots of plane. It has a principle of detachment of the lower joint of the tail, between the side and along the side of the tail.
E 'gone the flap, ie the front, folding, cover, then I will have to redo, and disappeared a piece of the frame above the keyboard. It was also completely redo the bridge from 8 'on the soundboard, irreparably warped by water. Since I have broken the bridge from 4 ', I had to do that too.

Above, the board of holly that I will use to make tabs jacks. We taper the sides to give the final shape of the tabs, then a scratch is shown with a fixed distance from the edge: will be drilled to the point where the tab.

The profile will have the tabs when finished.

It marks the width you want for the tab, then carves the space with a chisel of the clip you see above. Finally we realize the hole in the tongue with a punch from the tip of a rectangular shape.

tongue over, ready to be separated from the tablet. Once separated the whole process is repeated. I made tabs 220, 189 for jacks that will be in the three registers of 63 notes each.

the center, one of the plastic jacks provided by Zuckermann. On the left, a prototype made with just one tab and a drum made of walnut. On the right, the body of one of the jacks final in pear.

The back of the prototype of a ratchet. He did not come good, because the upper back (see photo) and the lower part of the front of the tongue protruding from the body of the ratchet. This means that I will again try to find a proper height axis balancing of the tongue. Left in the photo shows one of the registers (not made by me, and Zuckermann).

The underside of the bridge 8 ', drawn on a board and cut beech.

Having broken the last of my band saw blade and had not yet managed to find the parts, I sawed the bridge with the jigsaw. It takes longer, but it's almost better when you are cutting, as in our case, a sloped side.

The finishing of the bridge is the vastringa (spokeshave). In the picture you see a planer low-angle (block plane).

a go-bar deck that I built for the occasion. Used to quickly paste items that can not be achieved by normal terminals, or in cases where the use of normal terminals would lose too much time and causes the gelation of animal glue. Operation is intuitive: stuck between the slats of wood glued and the top piece to exert the necessary pressure on the workpiece. When the glue is dry take off.

Restoring Vinyl And Chrome Chairs

Enrico Baiano and Domenico Scarlatti Ensemble music

do not pretend to know all the Scarlatti recordings. But so many, and none appears to me more interesting, exciting, intelligent, those who gave us Enrico Baiano Symphonia published by two discs in 2008.
I do not do a review: it's not my job. Let me give you just a sign on my favorite, the K113, which closes the second disc. Despite a very fast time of detachment, the execution is far removed from the general brilliance that plagues Scarlatti performances: it is a continuous succession of tension and stretching (for example, after hearing from 2'15 "to 2'30"), which transforms the sonata from trivial - even if technically complicated - test of virtuosity in dramatic expression. And there is plenty of drama in these discs, listen to the wonderful example K115, which I found on youtube so I can not put here.

K113

K24

K3

K126

The first of the two discs is played on a harpsichord by Ugo Casiglia copy Joachim Antunes (Portuguese, therefore, substantially in the Italian tradition) of 1785. You can hear it in K126.

The second disc is played on a harpsichord by Olivier Fadini copy of the Francois-Etienne Blanchet 1733 (French of course). You can hear it in the K113, K24 and K3.

Both instruments have a resonance opulent setting in line with the executive, which certainly can not be called minimalist.

I did not ask permission to put the video here, which I found on YouTube. If I violated rights please inform us and we will remove the concerned the post immediately.

UPDATE
I was wrong on the K115: fortunately is also on Youtube, so I can put it here. Played back for the occasion, takes first place at K113 between executions of Baiano (of course in my personal ranking). Let me know what you think.

part of the second disk, so too is played on a Fadini Blanchet.

Difference Between A Blender And Mixer

hairpin .. kokeshi!

Another new feature of the Japanese market, were the hair pins!
the sticks are lacquered wood, has sent me a friend of mine, Silvia, from Milan.

The top of the pin is polymer clay, I set a hard stone and a hook to which I hung one of my small kokeshi (approximately 2cm), some beads, and a diamond or oval mother of pearl.
I hope you enjoy these too!
Sorry for the photos, I made only "on the fly" before bringing everything to the market .. unfortunately I only have these pictures .. maybe for the next try to improve and make some more calmly!
As usual, Click on the photos if you want to get!

kokeshi

For the Japanese market have created a lot 'things that I still had not shown .. My
kokeshi now know them in every possible way .. or better in almost all the sauces!
This time I mounted on an adjustable ring base with a hook.

The process is the same as always, I make little head in polymer clay, then painted hand and then assembled with beads or crystals ..

's to you! (Click to enlarge)

Unfortunately I have other photos because I sold them all .. almost goes without saying that you can replicate it in different colors and with different expressions!

Japanese Market - November 7, 2010

So .. as is often the case for a while 'do not update my blog! I was absorbed by the commitments on the study, thesis, and also the creative world!
In this post I want to talk about it .. and especially the Japanese market!
How many of you know I've never personally participated in a flea market, often Butterfly Effect Workshop has offered to display and sell my creations, sharing with me his banquet to the Japanese market! I always sent my creations, and she took care of everything, from setting the sale, payments, packaging and shipping of unsold items! After several "calls" the opportunity presented itself to me just this November to be in rome .. and so I decided to participate in the flesh (more flesh than bone) at the market!
In the days before I was almost anxious, if not worried! On the morning of November 7, despite some ominous cloud, I was armed with good will and a beautiful smile and I start .. The experience was definitely positive (even more than positive!) In the first place because I had the opportunity to meet friends, because then I met so many people, and not least because they breathe air just magic! Many girls have stopped at the banquet just to give a compliment and if on occasion can be embarrassing, it's really just what fills your heart! Strange characters roamed the stands .. I recognized a lady oscar and I do not know who else! The hotel was very nice, the market was developing all'intermo and even outside the discotheque "Black Out Rock Club, Rome.
Unfortunately I have not done a lot of photos, with the exception of some at our table .. I hope to recover in the next few days!

I take this opportunity to thank once again Butterfly Effect, extremely available and lovely, with whom I spent two afternoons meravigliosissssssssimi and the day of the market, and her boyfriend, Vincent, who had the patience to accompany me to the station and helped us to assemble and arrange the feast day of market, THANKS! A special greeting goes to Takya and Michela.Crazy , colleagues Forum Handcrafted us who have spent an afternoon shopping creative! Emos (and Emily), and Krispink barbyblu who came to see us at the market and with whom I apologize for the pochissssimo time we had! I hope we shall meet again .. maybe
D A big hug goes to Sarah, a special friend loooong patient .. and my cousins Daniel and Grace (their families, uncle, cousins and cousins and only .. but I can not list all else it takes me a papyrus!) of Ceramiche D'urso (under construction) I have hosted in those days and made me feel really "family" as when we were kids and we went to visit them on vacation! Many thanks to all:)

Bottomless Women Stinky

It should not seem strange that, in addition to building them, I like to also play the harpsichord. In fact, soon I plan to post also some new recordings, not only cembalino maple but also of others.

No musical practice is more fun and satisfying than playing together, which unfortunately never happened to me because I come from the study harpsichord as many of the piano, which I always took private lessons, so I only attended the conservatory in the examinations .
So Having finally converted to the harpsichord, seeking musicians, amateurs, professionals or semi-professionals, people who play well and people playing bad, who want to play with me. So I try

singers, flautists, violinists, cellists, violists of love, viola da gamba, lute, oboist, in short all those playing instruments suited to the performance of baroque music. Li
seek from all over Italy, but for obvious reasons of accessibility preference is the whole of Campania and Lazio. Write to me, or in the comments below or mail harpsichordmaker@gmail.com.

Invitation Wording For Church Anniversary

Cake topper Melissa and Roberto

I was commissioned a new cake topper some time ago but I could not publish it earlier for the .. uh .. "surprises" ^ _ ^

The client just gave me some guidelines and left me enough freedom in the realization of those! The dress I invented him, so do not really know what dress she had her husband that day for the wedding dress but I had some pictures and tried to reproduce as faithfully as possible! I do not think I succeeded perfectly but I'm very satisfied work, mostly because I'm busy a lot .. and I never imagined being able to do so even vaguely similar! Apart from the extremely tight timetable (which forced me to do the 4 at night) and a million things to do in the days prior to delivery, I am very satisfied. Hope you like it, the bride loved it .. wait for the verdict of the groom now! :)

Here are the photos, what do you think? :)

Details:

Bride has beaded hair. The same beads I have used to achieve a pearl necklace and earrings. I colored the roses with a rose a bit 'more Raviv on for a bit' black and white of the cake topper, I hope you like them too!

Blog De Bangbros Online

Just Married! Hummingbird Fairy Bookmarks

seemed so far in July a few months ago .. .. and instead came as fast as a blink of an eye .. and almost finished! The best month of the summer .. and not just because my birthday .. but because my birthday is a wedding of my dearest friends! How many of you know are not as "expansive" .. maybe I love you to someone who will never know! What better time to do a thought "with the heart"?
commitment .. I started it 4 days .. a bit 'of thoughts .. will like? how we do it? and I also finished the fimo (hehe!) but I'm really satisfied! I made another cake topper for another friend .. but I think this to be more beautiful (makes perfect, right?) .. 'nuff said .. I show you my work!

Special groom ..

and the Bride:

here .. And the couple together:

viewed from behind:

And here a detail of the bride's dress:

For the bodice of the bride and the "tail" I used a murrina I also made polymer clay .. I used to dress instead of white polymer clay that I textured to make it a bit 'more detail .. On the bodice I "shot" the tips as if they were petals of a daisy (subject of murrine) ..
The base is plywood, I cut, sanded and painted .. then I put the stones and I put the cord to finish the base .. Finally I put a label with the names of the couple and the date ..
I did not make the heart of flowers behind the couple, nor a "scene" because it seemed to me to upload it too .. considering the fact that the groom has a cylinder, would come bit 'too heavy .. As it is I like it .. I hope you liked it .. even the bride and her keep the memories of the most beautiful day ^_____^
